We’re not simply offsetting our carbon; we’re constantly looking at ways to improve out footprint. Here are a few things we’re currently doing to help.

Sustainable Fulfilment; Paving The Way For a Greener Future…

We’re not simply offsetting our carbon; we’re constantly looking at ways to improve out footprint. Here are a few things we’re currently doing to help.

Entering The Global Market Has Never Been Easier With Our Global Shipping Options

Electric Vehicles

With over 65% of our vehicles now electric, we’re constantly looking to provide environmentally friendly transport solutions for our clients.

By using electric vehicles, we’re reducing emissions and contributing to cleaner air for the future. Our efforts towards sustainable transport underline our dedication to creating a greener future. Moving forward, we aim to integrate more electric vehicles into our operations to ensure we are reducing our impact on the planet as much as possible.

Planting Trees

Planting trees for every new and current customer is a simple, fast, and effective way to reduce and offset the negative impact of the eCommerce and logistics industry.

Trees play a crucial role in fighting climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, thereby improving air quality, so, for every new and current customer we have, new trees are planted.

Paper Free

We’re committed to being a digital-first fulfilment company, creating a paper-free environment. Our commitment to reducing paper usage is an essential part of our broader green fulfilment solutions.

We understand that paper production contributes to deforestation, water pollution, and energy consumption.

Picking, Packing, Shipping

Effective picking, packing and shipping is essential for successful elogistics operations

. You of course need to ensure that you pick and pack the right products, but beyond this you also need to ensure you use the right dunnage to avoid products being damaged during shipping and handling process.

Furthermore, you need to ensure that you are using reliable delivery couriers to minimise the risk of lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged parcels since this can negatively impact your business despite having less control over this once it leaves the warehouse.

This is why its important that you make sure your entire supply chain is effective and reliable since each partner becomes an extension of your business.

Buying Local

We actively look to make purchases from local suppliers. It’s a strategic decision that allows us to minimise our carbon footprint – Eliminating the need for long-distance courier movements. We’re also conscious of using suppliers who have the same greener practices and values in place and choosing local suppliers, we’re building a greener future.

Returns Management

Returns are unfortunately inevitable when it comes to having an online business, but this too is a crucial component when it comes to eCommerce logistics- specifically with how they are managed, this is because it is important to remember that a returned order doesn’t mean you have permanently lost a customer- unless the returns experience is poor.

Similarly to shipping, you need to ensure the carriers you use for returned items are reliable as delays, lost packages, etc can cause delays in the order refund process, which negatively impacts your customers post purchasing experience, and negatively impacts your business since you could end up losing out on money.

Packaging

We offer all clients sustainable packaging, with an aim to use eco-friendly packaging as much as possible. Due to our buying power, we’re making it easier and cheaper to use sustainable options.

Couriers

To ensure we truly are a green fulfilment company; we partner with the most reliable eco-friendly couriers in the UK. We aim to work with only the best of the best, ensuring your customers get their orders on time whilst creating a positive impact on the planet.

Customer Service

Good customer service is essential for any business. When a customer has a question or issue regarding your service, they want a simple, quick response that resolves their issue/answers their question.

They don’t want AI bots or lengthy response times. Poor customer service can obviously damage your customers experience, but can also deter them from creating future orders. With reviews, social media and word of mouth, you run the risk of other potential customers abandoning their order with you due to hearing about others poor experience.

That’s why it is essential that you provide good, timely customer service to ensure that they are receiving the best possible service. You can either outsource this to a 3PL or customer service agency, or you can of course do this yourself in house.

Working with us means you don’t need to compromise your values for cost.

By choosing to partner with a green fulfilment company, your business can reap the rewards.

See what our customers are saying…

“Since joining TSP’s green fulfilment services, we’ve not only reduced our carbon footprint but also seen an increase in customer loyalty. We couldn’t be happier with the results!”

”Finally found a company that cares as much about sustainability as we do. Finding a 3PL who shared the same values as us was important when choosing our partner”

What is carbon offsetting?

Carbon offsetting is a process that aims to permanently remove the greenhouse gas emissions that are released into the atmosphere. This process is usually done by creating or restoring certain habits which aim to absorb the carbon emissions. Regardless of whether or not you are an individual or a business, the goal is to take responsibility for our contribution towards the detrimental affects that greenhouse gases have on our planet.

How does Carbon Offsetting work?

Measurement

The first step to offsetting carbon emissions involves measuring the carbon emissions that are caused by different activities and quantifying them. These emissions could be anything from transport emissions, energy use, manufacturing, or any other process/activity that produces those pesky greenhouse gasses.

Reduction Efforts

The individual/business causing the carbon emissions will then implement different measures to minimize their carbon footprint (everyone has one!)

This could include improving energy efficiency, making operational changes, etc.

Carbon Offset Projects

Carbon offset projects can be used to eliminate the emissions that could not be eliminated through other attempts. Projects can take various forms such as reforestation projects, renewable energy projects, etc. These projects aim to counteract and balance the emissions.

Becoming certified and verified

To ensure transparency and reliability, these projects are usually verified and certified by third party companies that work with you specifically to reduce and offset your carbon emissions.

For example, at TSP, we partnered with Positive Planet

Supporting green fulfilment with our couriers

We want to make sure that we are fully supporting the planet, so that means partnering with reliable, trustworthy, sustainable couriers since sustainability is at the core of our values.
